Frequently Asked Questions

Supportive answers for seniors, caregivers, and families navigating aging.

Who do you work with?

We work with older adults, caregivers, and families who need support learning and adapting to aging, emotional well-being, or challenging behaviours like aggression or withdrawal.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes — all our services are provided virtually across Ontario. Sessions are private, secure, and easy to access from the comfort of your home.

How are therapy and consulting different?

Therapy focuses on mental and emotional health. Consulting is more practical — helping you navigate care systems, advocate during meetings, and create personalized care strategies.

What are “responsive behaviours”?

Responsive behaviours are actions like agitation, resistance to care, or distress that often happen when a person’s needs aren’t being met — especially in those living with dementia or cognitive changes. These behaviours are a form of communication, not just “acting out.” Sometimes, even words or silence can be signs of an unmet need. We help families understand what’s behind these behaviours and respond with empathy, compassion, and proven strategies that reduce stress for everyone involved.

Is it too late to start therapy at this stage of life?

Absolutely not. It's never too late to seek support, clarity, or connection. Aging comes with unique transitions — and we believe every stage of life deserves care, dignity, and the chance to thrive. Whether you're facing new challenges or long-standing concerns, we're here to help you move forward.
